Vespers - Wu Xiaoxiao | Original Character Illustration

"Vespers" is the cornerstone visual of my original IP universe, "Biological Battery" (生物电池).
The piece explores the delicate balance between external perfection and internal desolation. For Wu Xiaoxiao, the heir to a high-class yet suffocating family estate, the stables represent her only sanctuary. Beside her Hanoverian horse, Vespers, she sheds her "perfect daughter" mask to become the cold, unbothered "Owner."

High-Poly Detail: I utilized the precision of CSP's brush engine to render contrasting textures—specifically the absorbent matte charcoal wool of the jacket against the semi-glossy, quilted liner.
Materiality: Emphasis on the diamond-cut rimless glasses, where the red-tinted edges serve as a visual anchor for her suppressed emotions.
Biological Accuracy: A study of equine anatomy, focusing on the foam at the bit (a sign of a relaxed, focused horse) and the subtle subsurface scattering on the skin.
